! ! Attention ! !
Dear TSA Officer,
The luggage you just opened for inspection, contains a parachute system. Please refer to the appropriate TSA directive or see: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1147.shtm
It is a life-saving parachute and can carefully be opened for inspection if required.
However if inspection of the inside of this parachute system becomes necessary, please page me and I will gladly assist you.
It is NOT necessary to use any force or even a wire cutter or a knife to open the upper reserve container, just pull the chrome plated handle on the front.
Beware: A spring-assist-pilot chute will jump out.
The lower section may be opened by pulling the little handle on the bottom of the container.
After inspection, just stow everything in my suitcase. There is no need to try to repack the parachutes as the FAA requires that a repack may be done by a FAA licensed rigger only !
Please handle this parachute system with care, my life is depending on it.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
